No free plan, but 14-day trial. Pipedrive is based in Estonia (EU, GDPR-compliant) and provides a DPA. AI Sales Assistant (in Professional) falls under EU AI Act Art. 4. Good choice for service and project businesses with a clear sales cycle.
Zoho CRM
Most affordable: free for up to 3 users (contacts, leads, deals). Standard (indicatively €14/user/month), Professional (€23/user/month), Enterprise (€40/user/month). Zoho Zia (AI assistant) requires EU AI Act Art. 4 training for business use. EU data centres available for GDPR compliance; DPA via Zoho Data Processing Addendum. Strong integration within the Zoho One ecosystem (accounting, HR, projects).
Salesforce
Most comprehensive and most complex. Starter Suite (indicatively $25/user/month); Enterprise and above on request. Salesforce Einstein AI (in higher tiers) requires EU AI Act Art. 4 training. EU data residency available via Hyperforce. GDPR-compliant DPA available. Recommended for businesses with complex sales processes, multiple departments or a need for advanced analytics. Implementation typically requires a certified consultant.
When do you choose which CRM?
Choose HubSpot free CRM if your team is small (1–10 users) and you want a low barrier without monthly costs. The free plan has no time limit and includes contact management, deals and basic reporting. Once you need email campaigns or automated workflows, upgrade to HubSpot Starter. Choose Pipedrive if sales is the core of your business: you have clear deal stages, want to manage the pipeline visually and do not need heavy marketing tools. Choose Zoho CRM if you already use the Zoho ecosystem or want the lowest price for a small team. Choose Salesforce if your business has more than 25 users, requires complex sales processes and integrations with back-office systems, and is willing to invest in implementation. Avoid CRM selection based on feature lists: 80% of features are never used.
